Proof: Manchester IS Shit

In case you weren't listening to HoodlumTribe.com's weekly radio show late last night, here's what you missed.

Running loose in Seattle is a duo who're calling themselves "Manchester." Dave wrote about them for The Stranger this week (here's the article) and contacted Dunk Le Chunk for his opinion. Needless to say, Dunk hated it as he hates everything. ManchesterisShit.com, of course, agrees. It's in the site's very name afterall.

Anyway, Dunk's partner in crime Mat D took it upon himself to attempt a remix experiment. Would it be possible to make Manchester any worse? You decide

Man, Anechoic (formerly of Leeds and Manchester) are my favorite UK band. Seriously. I can't get enough of em. What shocks me most of all is how motivated these boys can be, even though at least one of them used to be a sandwich artist at the Subway in Didsbury.

Anyway, I really love these guys. And I feel like I'll owe them forever because they turned up at the premiere of my play at the 24:7 Theatre Festival two years ago. Barely anyone came. Check out their live studio videos at Youtube.Meanwhile, here's a music video for a great song.

The Return of Robin Scott

Great news, after a heartbreak-inspired sabbatical, Withington's resident mini-comic diarist Robin Scott has reemerged from his shell and starting Thursday will release a comeback issue. Unless he posts otherwise, you should be able to pick it up on Thursday evening (comics day!) or Friday morning at Travelling Man in the Northern Quarter.
